The first thing you will need is a legally compliant release form that the applicant completes and signs. A release that is part of your current employee application is not enough and can get you in trouble. You will also need to certify to the screening company that you will follow the rules of the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act.) This is normally done when you first sign up with a screening company as part of the agreement that you sign.
